Some human activities can really affect the desert biome. When people drive vehicles, such as dune buggies, through the desert, they can leave tracks in the sand and soil on the desert that can be left there for many years. When they drive over the land they often will kill plants and the vegetation there. This affects the organisms there because there is less vegetation there which gives the animals less food to eat. They could fix this by making it where vehicles can only drive on assigned trails.
There also have been oil wells and other wells drilled for fossil fuels in some deserts. Having these oil wells in the desert is harmful to animals and plants living there because it pollutes the atmosphere and can be harmful to animals living near the oil well. They could restrict animals access to these areas, or move them out of the desert.

Humans also sometimes hunt animals in the desert. This is causing extinction. If this keeps up we potentially could kill off all of the animals inhabiting the deserts. People could just stop hunting desert animals. They could hunt animals that are more common.
Another problem in the desert is that global warming is increasing the number of droughts. This results in water holes getting dried up and that means animals and plants living in the desert won't have water. They could solve this by more efficiently using existing water sources, or digging artificial grooves in the ground to trap rain water.
